Military Commitment

The Constitution Inn YMCA is dedicated to providing support to the military and their

families.  We provide Constitution Inn rooms at a discount to active military, retired military

and war veterans.  Our YMCA also provides discounted memberships for veterans and

military personnel, and camperships to children of deployed military personnel.  This

support is especially critical now, with so many local young men and women returning

from active duty, many of them with injuries and trauma they suffered while serving

their country. 

In addition to these discounted services we have launched our “Welcome Home” Program. 

This program provides a free one year membership with extra services from a designated

fitness expert for any local veteran returning from the conflicts in Iraq or Afghanistan with

a service-connected injury.  To make sure there is a Y easily accessible to these veterans,

they can choose from 13 full facility YMCAs, nine in the city of Boston and 4 in

surrounding towns. The Constitution Inn YMCA pays the receiving Y for the full cost of

these memberships. The YMCA provides these deserving veterans with services that

will facilitate their recovery physically and mentally, as they become part of a positive

community, and provides them with a place to “belong to”.
